Jeff Bezos Set To Become World’s First Trillionaire By 2026 Because Of Coronavirus

Jeff Bezos is currently trending on social media, the Amazon owner is under fire during the pandemic for his treatment of the company’s warehouse employees and delivery drivers as he’s now on a pace to become world’s first Trillionaire.

Bezos’ net worth reportedly grew by approximately $30 billion in the last two months, because of increased online orders during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Although he has kept Amazon running while being more than ethical to his employees, Bezos responded to his pandemic success by ending hazard pay increases for warehouse and delivery workers on the frontlines as reported by HNHH.

Folks on twitter are not quite happy with the report and lots of them are chanting “EAT THE RICH” as they reflect on Bezos’ clear capitalist focus.

Bernie Sanders also aired his opinion on the news, “Here’s unfettered capitalism at work. Jeff Bezos, the owner of Amazon, has increased his wealth by $30 billion during the pandemic,” the politician tweeted.

“His response: end the hazard pay increases that Amazon warehouse workers have received, despite hundreds of them being infected with the virus,” Sanders added.

Elizabeth Warren has also called out Jeff Bezos,  tagging his actions during the pandemic to garner more wealth “immoral”. “While Jeff Bezos is on track to become the world’s first trillionaire in the middle of a pandemic, Amazon is ending overtime pay for warehouse and delivery workers on the front lines. This is immoral,” she tweeted.
